I’ll let you into a little secret; I love cacti and succulents. Our home is absolutely full of these tiny green plants, so when Adam and I were invited over to The Willow Tree in Cheltenham for a fun evening of terrarium making, I was excited… The Willow Tree If you haven’t strolled down Cheltenham’s lower High Street recently, you might not have stumbled upon the joy that is The Willow Tree. If not, you must pop in next time you are in town. You can thank me later! The Willow Tree is owned by the very talented and lovely Amber,…
Introducing…Helen Baker’s New Fabric Collection
Coastal Memories… Having grown up by the seaside in Sussex, it would be fair to say that I am a coastal girl at heart. Whilst this blog and my Instagram page show just how much I love my life in the Cotswolds, something I miss more than anything is watching waves crashing on the shore, with sand between my toes and the smell of salt in the air. So I can completely understand why Helen Baker, having moved from Cornwall to Bath 18 months ago, felt the need to decorate her new home with the Cornish coastal influences she is so…
Cotswold Candle Company

The Malt House Emporium in Stroud is truly an Aladdin’s cave of cool and quirky vintage beauty. Filled to the rafters with row after row of beautiful one off pieces, I could spend an entire weekend in there, magpie that I am, and never get bored. I absolutely love it, and within seconds find many a treasure to covet. This particular trip was no less satisfying than normal; within seconds I had found a vintage Coca Cola crate that I “needed” along with some rather smart animal mugs which put a smile on my face right away. The real treasure…
Shopping at Meggie’s, Stow-on-the-Wold
Update: Meggie’s has now moved to the scenic Stow-on-the-Wold so pay her a visit there instead. Her quaint shop in Painswick continues as The Falcon’s Nest, a delightful gift shop / art studio. We have visited Meggies, a lovely boutique in Painswick full of local goodies, a few times before and always come away with something cute and unusual. It is owned by Meg, one half of local bloggers Millie and Meg. Sadly Meg’s adorable puppy, Pepper, wasn’t there on our latest visit but you are guaranteed a warm welcome regardless and we were soon catching up on all the exciting…
